Comfort and convenience are the hallmarks of Slater Dermatology’s office operations. To ensure your convenience, below is the information you need about our hours, location, appointment scheduling, and financial billing.

Location

Capital Drive is located off the 4000 block of Sunset Avenue heading west from Rocky Mount toward Nashville, in the Village of Fairfield office complex.   The entrance to Capital Drive is off of Sunset near the intersection of Sunset and Halifax, and is easy to recognize by the small pond and water fountain.

Appointment Scheduling

Please allow two working days for replies to appointment requests by emaii (see tab above).  For faster response, please feel free to call our office during working hours.

Financial

Our Dermatology practice is structured as a traditional full payment due at time of service.  We accept payments in the form of cash, debit, check or Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express credit card, or Flexible Benefit Cards.  Dr. Slater is enrolled as a nonparticipating provider in Medicare, but is not a member of any private insurance network or managed care plan.  You will be provided with a detailed coded invoiced which you may forward to your insurance company, keeping a form for your records (except for Medicare which will be filed directly from our office and then Medicare will reimburse directly to your home.)

Depending on the type of plan you have, you may be reimbursed only a percentage of the money you paid.  Certain types of plans reimburse differently or not at all for services from a physicians that is not part of the plan or network.  If you have any questions about how your insurance plan operates, you should check with your insurance company.

By structuring her practice this way, Dr. Slater is able to spend more time with patients and maintain reasonable charges.  Her practice is an ideal alternative for patients seeking prompt access to excellence in medical care by a well trained physician rather than by physician extenders.
